A Watched Pot Never Boils explores states of waiting.
If waiting is inescapable, how do we deal with this interval? The performance looks at waiting not as a passive state, but as an active moment where histories of waiting and lived experience can help us navigate the emotional and temporal aspects of our present moment. Waiting is here, felt primarily on a bodily level, affected by everyday dramas brought in by different situations. Whether preparing for a first date, queuing in a shop, or living together, the performance reflects on waiting in relation to others, learned perception and presence.
A Watched Pot Never Boils is the first episode of the project What Happens If We Wait Together?
